Tour Overview

Gunung Mulu National Park is one of the world's most remarkable karst wildernesses. Fly into the jungle airstrip and step into a lost world of ancient limestone formations. Our 3D2N expedition takes you through the colossal portal of Deer Cave (where a 3-million-strong colony of free-tailed bats departs in spiraling formations every dusk) and Lang's Cave with its delicate limestone draperies. Cruise upriver by longboat to Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave, home to Southeast Asia's longest subterranean river system.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Mulu Arrival, Deer Cave & Sunset Bat Exodus

Arrive at Mulu Airport, transfer to resort. In the afternoon, walk along the 3km raised plankwalk through peat swamp forest to Deer Cave and Lang's Cave. At dusk, take seats at the bat observatory to witness 3 million wrinkled-lipped bats spiral out into the sky.

Day 2: Penan Settlement, Wind Cave & Clearwater Cave River Cruise

Morning motorized longboat trip up the Melinau River. Stop at Batu Bungan Penan settlement for native craft shopping. Explore Wind Cave with its King's Chamber, then ascend 200 steps to Clearwater Cave. Swim in the crystal-clear pool outside the cave and enjoy a riverside picnic.

Day 3: Canopy Skywalk & Departure
